Life is complicated, and at times, it can feel overwhelming, lonely, or unfulfilling. Pain, grief, hopelessness, past traumas and difficult relationships can seem like too much to bear. While opening up to healing can be daunting and feel vulnerable, it is possible to open up new space to follow a more meaningful, connected path. My 10+ years of experience as a social worker and a clinician in NYC has led me to believe that healing is possible for everyone. There is help. You don't have to do it alone. As a therapist and a human I work from a place of openness, curiosity, compassion and introspection.
I am an active participant in sessions with clients, because therapy is more than just listening. In therapy I help patients explore and address past traumas or childhood experiences and how they impact current patterns and quality of life. I also work with mindfulness, practical skills and shifts in thinking and relating and somatic interventions.
I strongly believe in a person centered, trauma informed approach and I will work with you to find the modality or modalities that work best. You are the holder and the builder of your most fulfilling life.
